Stand with Faith-Driven Athletes and Fans

There’s a growing tension in our culture.

Athletes are encouraged to speak out—until that expression includes their Christian faith. When it does, the response is often different: silence, pressure, even consequences.

That’s why Faith Driven Consumer has launched a national effort: Stand with Faith-Driven Athletes and Fans.

Recently, NBA guard Jaden Ivey was waived by the Chicago Bulls after posting social media videos affirming his faith in Jesus Christ and sharing his personal, biblical convictions about marriage, sexuality and faith, including his concerns about the NBA’s Pride Month messaging. He spoke from his own account, expressing what he believes, yet his conduct was labeled “conduct detrimental to the team.”

At the same time, leagues openly promote other viewpoints without hesitation.

That kind of double standard sends a clear message: faith is welcome—but only if it stays private. We’re calling on major sports leagues to respect the freedom of athletes to live out their faith—openly and without fear.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about fairness—and whether faith truly has a place in public life, including sports. We are not asking leagues to silence, replace or erase any community. We are asking for equal standing. We are asking them to add us in.

And this is where you come in:

When enough voices come together, culture shifts. We’ve seen it before—and we can see it again.

By signing, you’re helping send a clear message: faith belongs in the marketplace, the workplace, and yes—even in sports.

Let’s stand united.

Sincerely,

Chris Stone
