FDC ASKS MLB FOR CLEAR YES-OR-NO COMMITMENT TO WELCOME, EMBRACE, CELEBRATE, AND AFFIRM FDCS EQUALLY
FDC calls on Major League Baseball to engage now and commit to a formal process measuring effort and results
RALEIGH, N.C.—Faith Driven Consumer today calls on Commissioner Rob Manfred and Major League Baseball to answer a direct question:
Will MLB Welcome, Embrace, Celebrate, and Affirm Faith Driven Consumers equally?
The request follows MLB’s Commissioner Rob Manfred’s statement that San Francisco Giants players will not be fined or disciplined after the recent Pride Night uniform controversy. FDC welcomes that clarification, but says the larger issue is
no longer about one incident, one team, or one uniform decision.
Faith Driven Consumers need to know if they are meaningfully welcomed, valued, and affirmed across all institutions—including Major League Baseball’s culture, policies, and public commitments.
Faith Driven Consumer is raising the question through Add-Us-In, FDC’s public call and accountability standard for equal affirmation. Add-Us-In calls all institutions to Welcome, Embrace, Celebrate, and Affirm Faith Driven Consumers equally—and to prove that commitment through measurable effort and results.
“Faith Driven Consumers deserve a clear yes-or-no answer,” said Chris Stone, Founder of Faith Driven Consumer.
“Will MLB Welcome, Embrace, Celebrate, and Affirm Faith Driven Consumers equally?”
“If so, we are ready to engage constructively. Faith Driven Consumer is prepared to work with MLB through a measurable Corporate Pledge framework that turns stated commitment into proof of performance.”
“If not, MLB should now publicly decline to equally engage FDCs.”
The framework calls on all institutions to proactively Welcome, Embrace, Celebrate, and Affirm Faith Driven Consumers—affirming their identity, convictions, and contributions equally with all other recognized groups across policies, practices, culture, and public commitments.
Faith Driven Consumers are players, employees, families, and fans whose Christian faith shapes everyday life, conscience, identity, and participation. FDC is not asking MLB to diminish, reduce, or withdraw its welcome for any other community. FDC is asking MLB to extend the same Welcome, Embrace, Celebrate, and Affirm to Faith Driven Consumers that it currently provides to others.
“Baseball speaks often about fair play,” Stone said. “This is an opportunity for MLB to practice it.” FDCs and all MLB stakeholders are eager to hear from Commissioner Rob Manfred and Major League Baseball: Add-Us-In.
